“tenbigblinds”
Brandon began his poker career as a cash game specialist, primarily playing No-Limit Hold-em and dominating the tables Live and Online.
In August of 2008 he began to play multi-table tournaments live and made an immediate impact by cashing in 5 major events in just a 3 month period. He won two of those tournaments outright, earning over $70,000.
There were numerous conversations in and around the $5,000 Buy-In Main Event @ the World Poker Open in 2008. Brandon moved All-In at the Final Table 6 handed vs. Clonie Gowen with only a GUT-SHOT!
“I knew Clonie was weak in the Small Blind. She would have re-raised before the flop with any decent Ace… the all-in cost me $280,000… but hey, money has no value in No-Limit Hold-em! My mistake was not recognizing the fact she wasn’t capable of folding a pair in that spot.”
Since then, Brandon has now earned over $320,000 in Live and Online Multi-Table Tournaments, while continuing to destroy the Cash Game tables. With his quick start and success on the tournament circuit, Brandon quickly became a rising star in the tournament poker world. He plays online under the name of “tenbigblinds” and is a force to be reckoned with anytime he is in the field!
“tenbigblinds” has had numerous victories on Full Tilt Poker… the most notable coming on April 1st, 2010. Brandon took down the $60,000 GTD on Full Tilt Poker for over $17,000. Tenbigblinds scored several other victories in 2010 including the $35,000 GTD on Full Tilt, $28,000 GTD on FTP, and Back-to-Back PLO wins on Full Tilt.
Brandon put his Poker Career on hold in early 2010. He is pursuing his Masters in Business, CCNA/CISSP, and working again in the Fortune 500 Space.
“….. very excited. The possibilities in this Industry are so high right now. I enjoyed the time I spent playing, but I must say… I’m glad to have a schedule again. With the kids, I just cant find the time to put in long sessions. I will still teach… keep up with the game… but play… pffff no interest anymore!”
Brandon will continue to maintain his PRO status, however his focus and dedication will be in the Enterprise Solutions world. Brandon holds an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) title, along with many other Industry accomplishments.
